Carl Black Classic Rodeo
An annual rodeo hosted the first weekend of August; this rodeo allows not only professional riders, but locals and youth as well.

Cedartown Fall Festival
A one day event, held on the second weekend in October, where Polk County citizens line the sidewalks of Cedartown and enjoy entertainment, a parade, and competitions of all types.

Cruise In
Cruise In is a new event in Cedartown, held in August, which features hot rods, antique and classic cars, as well as fun and entertainment for the entire family.

Homespun Festival
Each year, on the third weekend in July, Rockmart hosts two days of arts and crafts, live entertainment, great food and events. Friday night features great Southern Gospel music and Saturday includes a 5-K Road Race, the annual parade and fireworks, as well as a variety of foods.

The Native American Pow-Wow
Polk County is the host of two Native American Pow-Wows throughout the year. First, there is a two-day event held in Aragon at either the end of April or beginning of May at the Aragon Mill Pond. Next, there is a two-day event hosted the first weekend of October that takes place at Northwest Park in Cedartown. Both festivals include Native American dancing, music, and arts and crafts that make these festivals something to attend.

Cedartown Memorial Day Bicycle and Roller Blade Ride Annual Event
The 2008 Cedartown Memorial Day Bicycle and Roller Blade Ride, will be on Monday, May 26, Hosted by Georgia Rails Into Trails Society (GRITS) . This will be the fourth annual bike ride
to start and finish in Cedartown. This is a fun event and not a race which consists of 20-mile to
100-mile ride or a roller blade option. Planned routes will accommodate the novice to the elite
participants . Options will be a part of the Silver Comet Trail including friendly rural county
roads, elevation variable, rolling hills, beautiful scenery along with a helpful volunteer staff.

Proceeds from the Cedartown Memorial Day and the Rockmart Labor Day Bike Ride will be
used by Georgia Rails Into Trails Society (GRITS) Volunteer Trail Rangers to purchase
equipment in order to maintain and beautify the Silver Comet Trail through picturesque Polk
County, GA.
